1 John 1:5-7
5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. NKJV
As we live our daily lives and interact with this world and the people of this world, it is truly as dramatic as light and darkness. The contrast is becoming greater each day we live as the people of this world choose too become their own moral standards. It is alarming to say the least as to the polar differences of what people consider good or evil, moral or immoral.
Isaiah 5:20-21
20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light , and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight! NKJV
The deeper your walk with the Lord is the stranger you will become in this present age. The longsuffering of the Lord is being demonstrated for sure! Each day we walk in the light we are estranged from the normal ways of this world. I am so thankful this Christmas season that the Lord has blessed me with a heart that is after truth. I have declared with Joshua of old, “as for me and my house we will serve the Lord!” As we all gather with loved ones and friends in this next week, let’s not take for granted the blessing of faith we have been endowed with.
Why were we chosen? I can’t even answer that, but I can remain thankful. The duty of the found is to continually seek the lost and never forget where we were brought from. As we continue to grow in the grace of God we will forever be thankful and continually offer the sacrifice of praise to the Lord!
It is the least we can do and He is worthy of so much more than we can even give! I pray that you all have a great Christmas with the ones you love this year and that many are influenced in this season by the most generous gift ever given, Jesus!
