The Comeback!

You know me, I love people and I love to gather with the saints and worship God!  I am so excited to be able to gather in person again starting next Wednesday at 7PM!

We do have some guidelines for our return; we are going to follow protocol as much as possible.  Please see below:

•If you are sick or at high risk for getting sick please stay home. We will be streaming on FB & Youtube as usual for you to watch.

•Practice social distancing by maintaining appropriate distance between people. Respect people’s wishes. We will have social distancing in place within the sanctuary for seating. If you’re a hugger, gathering again is going to be like a black bear in a honey factory, WE GET IT. But, we need to give people their space. 🙂

•Maintain good hygiene by washing your hands frequently, using hand sanitizer, using your elbow to cover coughs, and not touching your face. We will have multiple hand sanitizing stations throughout the church.

•Cafe will be open serving drinks however the dinner and breakfast bar will not reopen for an additional few weeks.

•Children’s Church will slowly open back up:
There will be no classes open for services May 6, 10, & 13. This allows our volunteers to connect back into fellowship and be filled 😀
May 17 & 20: Nursery, ones, and 2s classes will open. Sunday, May 24th: All rooms will open. 3/4’s Preschool will begin having class AFTER worship. This will be the new norm 😀

However, we will have two rooms reserved for parents wishing to self supervise children 2 and under. Sorry wives, there are no available rooms for unruly husbands. They must sit in the front row. 🙂

It’s time! We have missed our awesome family. We can’t wait to see you Wednesday! Don’t forget to tune in this Sunday via FB live or Youtube at 10am.  After worship, we will conclude with our panel discussions, which have been very popular.

Blessings to all, and I will SEE you soon!

Will we see a third great awakening come out of this worldwide pandemic? I have read many prophesies that say it is going to happen. The one that really has my attention is the one from David Wilkerson. It was even on an ad on fox news this morning! I followed Wilkerson as a prophetic voice until he died, reading and listening to his thundering messages to the church to “repent”. I probably would give greater heed to what he prophesied than most so called prophetic voices today.

“I see a plague coming on the world, and the bars, churches and government will shut down. The plague will hit New York City and shake it like it has never been shaken. The plague is going to force prayer less believers into radical prayer and into their Bibles, and repentance will be the cry from the man of God in the pulpit. And out of it will come a third Great Awakening that will sweep America and the world.”

– David Wilkerson in 1986

Revival begins in the pulpit not the pew!

Will Pastors actually begin to preach “repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand”, or continue the man-pleasing of the past 20 years? The pulpit has to be awakened to awaken the pew! Congregations are mirrors of their leaders! I have heard some rumblings from a few Pastors who are waking up and I pray the Holy Spirit stirs the heart’s of the shepherds so the scales fall from their eyes and they begin to see the truth again.

I think it will be a couple more months until we even begin to realize the full effect this pandemic has on this present world. We are sailing in un-chartered waters for sure and we have experienced a sharp birth pang of the end times. Please join with me in praying for a pulpit awakening that will lead to a pew awakening that will lead to a world awakening!

We are trying to get a handle on how and when we will gather again. Our Governor is being very vague right now but we are close! We have received many reports about new people who have been watching online saying they are coming when we start meeting again and that is exciting. If you have seen people you know “peeking in” stay in touch with them, and encourage them to come when the doors open again!

We are all believing for revival, and remember it begins with us!

Hab 3:2

2 O LORD, I have heard Your speech and was afraid; O LORD, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.

NKJV

Hos 6:1-3

6:1 Come, and let us return to the LORD; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up.

2 After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight.

3 Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the LORD. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth.

NKJV

Crazy times we are experiencing right? How quickly the stability of this life can change for sure. We truly cannot trust in anything but God for our real security, can we? I, like yourselves, am being overloaded daily with various opinions and conspiracy theories about what is happening in our world right now. So who do you believe?  Who is telling the truth? We may never know for sure, but what we do know is nothing has changed with God and He is telling us the truth!

Psalm 25:5

5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.

NKJV

There is a lot of waiting going on right now and while we wait for this pandemic to pass we need to focus on what matters most; truth! God’s truth, not the latest whistleblowers’ word, but the word of God! Almost daily I see the reports of contradictions to what we are being told by the government, and I understand the frustration of trying to figure out just who is telling the truth. I listen and ponder, but I refuse to allow it to consume me and waste too much time trying to discern who is right.

In this age of information anyone with a connection to the internet can “become an expert” on the world’s affairs, or a theologian, or a medical expert or a science expert. So what is the truth and who do we believe?

John 17:17-19

17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

NKJV

I will continue to preach the word and focus on the word and believe the word and I hope you will too! Let’s see what the word says about things like what are happening right now.

Here is what we declared this past Sunday morning:

Matthew 10:27-31

27 Jesus Teaches the Fear of God “Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.

28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.

30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

NKJV

So, I would say do not fear a virus that can kill the body, but fear God who can destroy body and soul in hell! I would say lets get and keep our hearts right before Him!

Luke 12:22-34

22 Do Not Worry Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on.

23 Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.

24 Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?

25 And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

26 If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?

27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

28 If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?

29 “And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind.

30 For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.

31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

32 “Do not fear , little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

33 Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys.

34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

NKJV

Over and over more than 360 times we are told not to fear, this means we can do something about fear, we can stand against it with the power of God, His word, and His Spirit!

Have a blessed week and stay in “the truth”!
